The Account Specialist position reports directly to the Sales Manager of Trans Western Chemicals. The right candidate for this role will be responsible for promoting the company’s full line of products into the CASE, Plastics, and Rubber markets while developing meaningful relationships with our partners and maximizing per customer GP.

Organizing a targeted approach for sales growth, implementing core company sales strategies, and leveraging key resources is crucial.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proven experience selling Specialty Chemicals in the CASE, Plastics, and Rubber markets.
• Create both short- and long-term strategies for customer, product, and market development
• Work closely with Company Management Team to effectively implement sales programs
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers in the territory as a resource
• Support supplier’s product development through joint visits within the territory
• Monitor customer, market, and competitive activity in the territory and provide feedback to management
• Attend trade shows and assist with company presentations
• Interact daily with CRM Program (eChempax) entering and maintaining call reports, opportunities, etc.
• Work with Sales Support team to update sales activity, supplier reports, and budgets regularly
• Visit Supplier’s Facilities and participate in the education of product lines, new chemistries, and innovation
• Foster the company’s vision of becoming the best full-service specialty chemical distributor in the west, through the development of meaningful relationships, and by maximizing per customer GP.

• Strong customer orientation
• Experience selling Specialty Chemicals in CASE, Plastics, and Rubber markets
• Track record of success in California
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Focused on developing and providing solutions
• Experience using CRM programs such as eChempax or Salesforce
• Self-motivated, go getter, driven to perform at the highest level
• Team player, willing to contribute and support the group in order to meet company goals
